  • WTB: Bioballs 1.25'' or 1.5'' 20g or more

    Looking for some Bioballs they must be 1.25'' or 1.5'' and I need about 2000-3000pc count.

      Plastic pot scrubbers from the dollar store 6 for $1.00. $20.00=120 pc. surface area same as 2,000 bio balls. And take up 1/3 the space. JMO

          I guess I can try that out. Where can I buy some? The dollar stores around me don't have them for 6 for $1.

              Dollar general only. You may need to hit 3-4 to get your 20 pks. But they are on every corner in this city.

                Silly question, but what do the bio balls do?

                150 gallon - my African cichlid monster tank (I know it isn't a big as yours)
                17 gallon - Threadfin rainbows and corys lightly planted
                5 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder
                3 gallon - planted red cherry shrimp breeder

                  Your good bacteria live on it. The bacteria that does the biological cycle. Water trickles over the media with high oxegen levels and the bacteria thrive. This bacteria eats the bad stuff and renders it relativley harmless. Then you do a water change(flush the toilet) and the fish are happy.
