Beefy - I am going to try this idea. The coconuts that I found are kind of hairy. Do you sand them down or do they look like that on the outside when you buy them?

I'm joking. I suggest removing the hair after boiling the coconut. It softens the hair up and it shaves off with a sharp knife + sandpaper. Sometimes I leave some of it on though because it should be a good bacteria breeding ground. Methinks, anyway...135 gal Fahaka Puffer

I made one of these this weekend and my fish LOVE it. They are all taking their turn in the new cave. I will have to make more soon.
I have to admit that the asking price of $10 is exceedingly fair. This is a fairly labor intensive project. That said, I am always looking for an excuse to buy tools and play with them, so for now I will continue to do my own.
For those of you who aren't crafty, I definitely recommend purchasing some of these.Jarrod - Houston, Texas

I bought three of these last week at HAW. They work and look natural in the tank. I put a little subsrate on bottom and Troph's love them.
I am a bit paranoid, so I boiled them before I put them in the tank-just in case any parasites were still hanging on.
