  • WTT: 2 Adult OB Peacocks - PLACED

Hi. I have 2 adult OB Peacocks that I would like to trade. They are both really pretty. Not sure of sex with OB's since you can't rely on coloring, but I really thought they were a pair - one more blue, one more orange and definite difference in size. But the way they fight, I don't know. But I am not experienced with OB's either. Get along with everyone else - even little peaceful tropicals - just not each other. We just had a major scrap yesterday and you can see who lost. I don't like the drama that these fish are causing me.......hahaha. Open to lots of trades!

    Current tanks:
    Hap/Peacocks
    Mbuna
    Discus
    Angel
    South American Cichlids
    Monodactylus

    Lydia -

They look more like OB zebras to me . . . good luck with your trade!
    Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

        My thoughts

Well, thanks for the feedback guys.......that was my thoughts also...........so I was all excited to think I could add them to my mbuna tank. OMG NOT!!! I did the normal, fed everyone, moved hardscape around, turned out the lights. Added one OB. OMG I have never witnessed anything so violent in the fishworld! It was like sharks on a wounded dolphin. Every fish in that tank - they launched an immediate corporate attack and had the OB pinned in the corner to devour him ! I literally had to reach in the tank and grab him with my hand or they would have ripped him to shreds and I am not exaggerating one bit. I think " I " was traumatized! haha So that ended my thinking they were zebras!!!

So now, one is in a tank with a dozen goldfish, happy and peaceful with those guys as all get out. The other does fine with the peacocks (just a bit of a bully and I have some holidng) so is currently in with my severum, and he's a mellow fellow. They're really beautiful and I'm quite fond of Elvis (has a speckle right on top of his lip so it looks like he always is doing his Elvis face!) After tank rearranging this weekend, I'll have to see who settles down and who doesn't. Good grief! And I do fish as a stress reliever..........now I have fish drama!!!
        Thanks so much,
        Lydia
