I just got through seeing the listing at Atlantis and bluechips just listed large trewavasaes for $45ea.


I have kept you in mind if I am able to sell these mobas and if I can't get a good deal on some Uwiles I would like to get around 50 f1 ujiji's from you Geoff...thanks!

50 would not be a problem.  I got like 75 in there right now, and 40 are sold.

So to get 50 would only take me a month or so to get, that is unless you'll take spit sized?

well what do you think is a fair wholesale price surely not 650?? fish seem to go for about 25-40% of retail... i am interested but that just sounds high to me if you want to really get rid of them what do you have to get out of them to get what you want to buy... thanks mickey carroll

well they are much less then retail....what I have now would go for $100ea online easy maybe more and I paid $30 each for 1" fry from a local that is much less then what I have seen at the LFS which was $89.99 at Fish R Fun.

I know that to sell something as a hobbyist the prices are much less then retail, I know I wouldn't want to pay retail from a local breeder or hobbyist so I priced them accordingly.

If you can find anything close to the quality I am offering or as cheap please let me know.


Heck try buying inbred burundi's from the LFS for the size I have to offer and you will easily see that it's not cheap and I have some of the most sought after variant. Burundi's at the size I am offering are easily going for $50-60 and that's the mis-bar deformed looking ones.  

Fish Ranch has Mpimbwe's that are not much bigger for $100 each and those were trade- ins.

Go to Fish R Fun and price out 11 of their smallest anything frontosa related and I will sell you my colony for the price difference. (Might be much more that way though)




I am not trying to be a ***** but I have been to tons of LFS and price shopped a great deal before purchasing anything I have so I have an idea of where the market is.......I also know quite a few LFS personally and they have shared their wholesale prices with me.

If you are interested pm me an offer and we can work on it from there.....Right now I know what I want and am almost willing to just accept that much for them cause I want them that bad but will work with offers first cause honestly I don't want to screw myself in the process but also don't want to screw over anyone else.

moba 3 to 5 in in las vegas for 250 bucks for 10 on aqua bid.. not trying to screw you either just want to get the best price i can because of course like everyone else i am low on funds also... thanks mickey carroll

I dont think you can really compare seeing a fish in person then buying it, and seeing pictures of a fish online and ordering it.  It may be cheaper but you get what you pay for.  They can really screw you over.  Thats why my personal preference is buying fish that I can actually see and know they are healthy.  My cousin had a really bad experience ordering discus from Jack Watt..  Not taking anything from his fish but my cousin order like 20 discus from him.  All died in a span of 2 months.  He got 10 from gulfcoast dan and 8 are left.  One died because he went skiing and the other because my fault.

I saw that auction and they are pick up only.....and the pictures do not look like 3-5"

If those are that size then mine are triple the size I have listed...also that same seller had two auctions going one for the mobas and another for kapampas and in the description they are referred to as zaire blues and show the same two pictures.

so lets see...flight to vegas.....at least $300 plus $250.....=$550 and they are smaller. try finding someone to ship and that adds to the cost as well.

I am sorry but if it is too expensive then please feel free to purchase them somewhere else.

RonR sells nice 1" for $30ea which might be a cheaper route for you. or you can purchase online. Bluechips is a good person or you can search the retailer feedback on cichlid-forum for good reviews.
