                  Re: Clea helena

                  Full disclosure.

So I got my Congo puffer last night and set up the tank right before I left to pick him up. Cleaned the tank, put the sand in cleaned it and then filled up all the way. Put in a cycled filter. Then I saw all these snails crawling put of the sand! Panic. Put some copper safe in the tank and left to go pick up puffer. Got back, put the puffer in and he starts to shake like something was irritating him. Google so kindly brought up several threads on various sites that said that puffers were very sensitive to copper. Eek. 90% WC immediately and hoped for the best and went to sleep with snails still crawling all over the tank. Got up early this morning and only a couple of snails were there. Realty hoping that the little exposure to copper safe got them.

If that is not the case, I'm gonna try a snail trap before I try assassin snails.

Btw, I don't think Congo puffers are known to eat snails.
