I get that a lot, nobody believes that they are breeding but they do.
I have a stock pond at my office and two years ago introduced only about 20 Amanos, now I have tons in there.
And Yes my koi will eat them, it's a snack to them and I really don't care.
Also I have in my ponds Red Cherries and Tiger shrimp all do fine and breeding like crazy.
