    Wanted to trade/sell:various cichlids

    I have five fish that I would like to sell: EDITED FOR PRICE CHANGE...

    [s:c18055a0a2]Two pink convicts - they don't go with the tank all that well, and I understand they will be difficult if they decide to breed.  One male, one female

    1 jewel cichlid - it is a bit aggressive towards the other fish

    1 mystery cichlid - possibly a melanochromis of some sort.  About 4" long see my thread under general freshwater fish "Can anyone tell me something about this fish?" for pictures.  It is aggressive, but if you have a tank it will fit in, I would like to see it in a better home.  Right now I have it in a 30 gallon hex by itself, but I would like to do other things with that tank.

    1 Kenyi = she is beautiful, but it seems that this species is best kept by itself.

    I would like 3.00 each for all of the fish but the melanochromis.  The melanochromis I would like to get 10.00 for it, as it is large and beautiful.

    I would prefer to trade them for fish or supplies.  I am looking for fish that would do well in my 55 - I think I mostly have demasoni and yellow labs, and I would like some other fish that would go well with them (but probably not more of the same - I like variety)

    I am also looking for fish to stock my 30 hex - I would like angel rams, threadfin rainbows, and/or red longfinned whitecloud minnows, or gold white cloud minnows.
    I am also looking for interesting shrimp - I love cherry shrimp, and would love to learn more about other kinds of shrimp

    If you have other suggestions, please share your ideas...

    I haven't really sold fish before - if folks think that i am charging too much - let me know.  Mostly I am interested in trading more than cash...

      Question:  Are my prices too high, or are the fish just not interesting to folks?

      The one I am most interested in finding a home for is the large cichlid.  

      If I am barking up the wrong tree trying to find a home for these fish, let me know and I will find somewhere else.

        Give it a little more time.  I have no doubt the fish are fantastic, personally, we just don't have a tank where they would fit in.  

        You might also consider contacting some LFS to see if they would take them in trade.

          You might wanna consider finding a digi cam too.....it's a well known fact here on the box, that visual aids are a huge help when offering your fish and fish related items up for sale or trade.....

          I am setting up a large tank at work, I can't promise, but if you can wait a couple weeks, I may take the Pinks from you and maybe the jewell too....we'll see...

            Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being unreasonable.  The three CF might be interested are fine where they are.  The other one, however is taking up a whole 30 gallon because I don't have any other tank where it won't be more aggressive than the other inhabitants.

            I am looking into the LFS angle for that one, but they don't offer much - FR2 offers 1/3 the selling price...
