What is the small bulkhead onthe top. Is this for a return from the pump??      

Also what is the gray verticle pipe and does this have a bulkhead out throught the back of the filter?

I'm not sure what setup it came off...

Look like the person was using three single overflows...as for as the gray pipe? hell a snorkle? I can cap the side at no charge ( well give you the bulkhead to do it)
