Honestly so many people want to trade those in that the best I do is give them a small one for the big one. And that's being generous because the big ones are hard to get rid of.

So what do I do with them? Winter is coming and they said they don't like to live in cold water. I don't want to past away on me. Would anybody give me a offer on them?

How deep is your pond? They'll be ok if its more than a couple feet deep.

Like brownsnout says, they can overwinter down here if the pond is deep enough. The ones that live in the local bayous do it every year.

If the pond is more than 4ft deep they will survive in Houston without to many problems
Common pleco's are well known to survive in water that gets into the 50's.

I would return them to your pond.. you are much better off in there.   If you want to keep them indoors for the winter and return them in the spring at that size you are going to want to get like a 125 and store them in the garage with a small heater and a maxijet circulating the water...

I remember seeing kids bring in much bigger to a LFS that they caught in the bayou and those were fetching $5 at best..... and I think the LFS owner gave the kids that much just to make them happy.
