Re: LOOKING FOR ANGELFISH
You're in luck! For really nice, HOME-BRED angelfish attend the HAS (Houston Aquarium Society) auction on Nov. 16. I guarantee you'll find lots of angels there at better-than-store prices. Go to the Calendar page or www.HoustonAquariumSociety.org for more info.

Re: LOOKING FOR ANGELFISH
I am looking to sell one of my Gold Angelfish. Â Very pretty, good colors, red on the top ridge and blue spot on the top fins and bottom two pokey fins have a nice blueish tint. Â About 2 years old adult. Â The gold's buddy sadly past away and my blacks started breeding so I think he/she would be happier elsewhere. Â I purchased all my angels from Cameo a while back and she has very nice and healthy fish.

Re: LOOKING FOR ANGELFISH
2 of mine have veil tails and 2 have regular, I dont want to crowd them so I am only getting a few more, which is why I am being picky....I want all the rest to be the veil tailed. I have one that is gold with very large black markings covering most of its body and a very long veil tail...it is gorgeous! I want more like him with the very long tails....but all different colors. Also, does anyone know about how many can comfortably live in a 55 gallon tank....they are all pretty good sized...i have heard anywhere from 10-15???I love my baby girl!

Re: LOOKING FOR ANGELFISH
I would not recommend more that seven adult angels in a 55 gallon tank. Â A full grown angel really needs about 10 gallons per fish. Â Size is not the only issue, when you have too many in a tank and you have pairs that are spawning, the others will be forced into only a small portion of the tank. Â If they are small you can put 10-15 in a 55, but would need to consider either a larger tank or separating some of them into another tank when they start to mature.Reasoning with some people is like trying to nail jello to a wall...

Re: LOOKING FOR ANGELFISH
Well, all the eggs got eaten overnight. Â But it is the first I have seen them spawn, so if I can get fry next time I have some small tanks I can grow fry out in. Â I need to get the goldy out though cause the black angels have always been aggressive but now that she is missing her buddy and they are mating they have both really been a$$holes to the poor little gal. Â
I thought I would advertise here but since it is not veil tailed I will give you a call and we can work something out. Â It is nice having you living so close, Cameo.
And yeah, 10 gal per adult angel does sound like a good guideline. Â Adult males are very territorial and I've had to separate just two in a 40 gal once they started reaching adulthood. Â If your a fan of lip on lip all out brawls though its pretty cool, cause they will throw down.
