I'm kinda on the fence on this subject. I perfectly understand selling it to the first person at your door with cash on hand, but I would also hate to drive all the way to Spring or somewhere else far to come back empty handed. Maybe paypal would be a good solution so that someone can prepay and reserve. Just a thought.

Paypal is a good solution for some sales. I currently dont have paypal anymore.  But agreed on that I hate traveling to get something  just loose out on it to a buyer that was there 2 mnutes before me.

Problem is that people just pick and choose and play as if it was a game to buy  something.  I understand that everyone is trying to get the most for thier dollar. Also people ask stupid questions like what size is this or that and never read the thread or original post so they end up wasting more time. Then they say well......I will buy that and then never show up leaving the seller sitting there scratching his head.  

The other times buyers beat you down over and over on the price with no intention of ever buying....again wasting everyones time.

I always call the seller and say " I am on my way".   And then I make dam sure I show up right then with CASH in hand.  I will also tell the sellers,  dont wait on me, I will call ya when I am ready and meaybe you will still have it then

I personally will only hold items for people that I have done business with before and who I know have a good rep.

I think paypal is a good solution but not the only solution to a number of issues here.
