i got my new 125gal tank and need some filters for this tank. I have never used a canister before so this is new to me, but this was recommended. If anybody has one for sale then pm me and hopefully we can work something out. thx.

Yeah on a canister for a 125 -- go Eheim 2260 or 2262, or else you will need to get honestly about 3-4 Eheim 2217

or go with (2) 2217's if you can find them....put one at each end of the tank.....makes for good water flow...

thats what i reccomended to him originally. not a single 2217, but 1 at each end of the tank, true a 2260 or 2262 would be awesome, but i personally think that 2x 2217's would be ok for what hes keeping. just my 2 cents.FRENCH FRY!!!

Yes but that is double the upkeep. It make alot more sense to go with a 2260-2262 because you are over filtering.....and we like over filtration.
And the 2260 makes upkeep so easy with the built in drain. Â You can fill and drain for water changes all at the same time and it removes detrius sitting at the bottom of the canister when you drain.
its a no brainer.There is no "normal" life, it's just life so get on with it.

Bethesdaboy is the owner of TexasTropheusTraders located in College Station, TX, approx 99 miles north of Houston, or just about a 90 minute drive from downtown.
I suggest always to take the drive out there... you will be amazed of what his fish looks like :)
