Petrochromis Trewavasae For Sale

I have a 6" Petrochromis Trewavase living with my breeding colony of Moori Nkonde.

He is up for sale for $60.

This is a very hardy fish, eating Dainichi and Puppy chow.

In fact, all the fish in the tank are eating Dainichi and Puppy Chow. Sometimes they get NLS and every once in a while I throw some Ocean Nutrition in there or whatever Veggie based Saltwater food happens to be in my hand.

I have had this fish for going on 3 years now, he has some beautiful trailing fins and is not shy whatsoever.

Hi Ek, This is the same Petro you saw some months ago. Nice fins, Alex sold it to me as a male, but no egg spots...so if you can vent come by and be my guest. I'll see if I can dig up that photo from before. I just tore the whole tank apart to sell the Nkonde and Loaches so it is not in the most photogenic condition.

Im back and forth on here Ek, I got to put the tank back together so the giraffe has filtration and the Trew can stretch. Give me a call if you see the pic, dig through my old posts. Otherwise Ill try and get a snap of him once the tank is filled and clears up.

i have always wanted a petro, and a big male trew with trailers was first on my list, but the tank has only been setup for 11 hours

so not near cycled yet
if you still got him in 5 or 6 days i am gunna try and get out there to take a look
but dont wait on me.

brian, you know once you buy one you will want more. Iam new to petros but what Ive read 6+ inches in a 3ft enclosure is not suitable.

Have you been to Ultimate Fish?

Alex has had a single almost Adult Petro (read 10-12" in size!) in a 40 breeder for like 4 or 5 years now and that guy is beautiful and doing fine. In fact, there is a single shell dweller in there keeping him company and they have been fine for many years now. I happen to know that the tank only gets occasional water changes, so if someone were to keep him alone and keep up with adequate maintenance he would be happy as a clam in a well kept reef system.
Give me a call cesar, ill throw in the food I have been feeding him to make sure the transition goes smoothly.
