You're most welcome... despite all the crap you've been getting about making a "comeback" with a 30 gal. Don't listen to 'em! Haha! My 20 long is way cooler than the 125g. Word.

Might be trying to stay away from goldfish right now cause I haven't found any that I really like and the one's I do like are freaking expensive. Regardless the wait should be rewarding entertainment wise.

Came back to Cali to visit the fam. Dad's been really busy these days so the tank was nearly half empty! LOL... Water line was almost right at the filter intake. I did a partial WC and added water to the top. Noticed there's some fish missing but my parents say they only saw one platy die, and she was really old. Missing 2 small platies, 2 mollies, a male guppy that had been living in the tank for years, one small panda cory, and one otocinclus. I was thinking perhaps that huge sailfin pleco had gotten hold of them as a snack... but panda cories usually have some armor, no? And he's really well-fed with food of his own, so I'm wondering what's going on. All the other fish (platies, remaining molly, priscilla tetras, remaining panda and otos) look healthy and are eating well. I do have a HUGE swordtail that's been in there for years (born and raised in the tank) so maybe he went after the smaller new guys? Not typical for platies to hunt and kill.

Oh well. The tank still looks well so I won't worry until the larger fish go missing.

Your dad was waiting on you to do the water change!
              Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Yup, it's your parents' conspiracy to make sure you come visit on a regular basis!

That's it! All they have to do is say " somthings wrong with the tank" and you hop on a plane to fix it! That's funny! Lol. Looking good though, nice placement inside the tank.

Haha! Well I did some water testing and parameters were great, so I added a few fancy tail guppies (which my dad loves) and several more platies. Those priscilla tetras really look amazing though, and all the fish I added last time are growing nicely. Hopefully no more deaths between now and my next trip home! I also took it upon myself to show my mom how to use Prime and add more water. She says when she hears all the water splashing about from the filter when the water level is low, it makes her have to go to the bathroom like 5 times more than usual! LOL!

Now that might give her an incentive to do water changes!

Glad to hear all is well with the fish. That's so nice of you to do that for them. I'm sure they enjoy the fish, not only because the fish are pretty, but because it reminds them of how much their son loves them.

                              I knew that!

It's gotta be the meds I'm on.

Yeah, that's it. Blame it on the meds.

I'm truly sorry. I knew you were a girl. It was one of those things where my mind said one thing and my fingers typed something else.

I'll never live this down, will I?
