So I am thinking maybe just two holes in the tank and just plumb the filters off the river tank manifold

For the benefit of those who missed this earlier thread by sunkenmetal http://www.houstonfishbox.com/vforum...river+manifold If you read through it you will understand what a river manifold system is, why he wants to do it and some options on how to approach it. So in the interest of offering sukenmetal best constructive critcism or comments on his intial build design, I would suggest folks read up on it first. Its an uncommon set up, and makes for an interesting read.

Mini-jack. My Mom's 2 houses up neighbor was the Oceanic ATC supervisor on the board during 9-11. Just trying to get ideas for the layout of the holes I am going to put in the bottom of my ADA 120 for a river tank mainfold and two eheim 2217s

hmm the river manifold is a good setup. i tried something similair for australian rainbowfish. i made an intake and return grid on the oopposite walls of a 55 gallon. the spraybar was a rectangle with ports all around and the intakes were four strainers on the grid. it worked okay i guess, this seems like a better idea though. plus mine were freaking ugly.
