      I was concerned for a moment; I use some carpet (house ) in my pond for the koi to put eggs on, then remove it with eggs for hatching. (They don't eat real carpet).

          Oh, sorry to hear about your carpet, it was so nice.... Bad fish, no!!

          Maybe just try a few different mosses and plants- want me to bring you some flame moss, it's tough? I don't know much about goldfish, but maybe something else will be less to his liking.

                Sorry your fatties are gonna eat that too or up root them as all carp do. They have a harder time with amazon sword plants and big plants if you put rocks around the base. Goldfish like to go for roots on the plants or new off shoots. You can try java fern or Anubis tied down to rocks carpeted across they will have a tougher time destroying them.
