    I'm no expert, but as for cleaning hoses I have been using heavy duty weed eater line with a tube brush attached to the end.  The line is stiff enough to go through the hose but flexible enough to go around corners.  Just thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

      Don.. not a bad idea... I have plenty of that at home and I can just drag a good piece of cloth through it and that should work well too I am sure :)

        This is how I clean my hose also. And I use tank water to rinse all media, change my fine filter every month, and use an old tooth brush for the small parts.
        A house without a puffer is not a Home.
