    I recall when they first implemented the red light cameras a woman ran a red light and a police officer gave her a ticket.  A few days later, she got another ticket from the red light camera system for the same offense.  Im sure they dismissed one but what a PITA that must have been.  

    I like the lights.  Ive been driving for 8 years now and a few weeks ago got into my 14th car accident.  Out of the 14, only one was major and none have been my fault.  Not one.  If the red light cameras help stop people from hitting me, Im all for it.

      Seriously though. I don't know if it's good or bad. Carjackers, kidnaper's, bank robbers caught on video and stopped or deterred vs. my having to be more cautious about obeying the laws??? The traffic cams are already installed on Houston freeways. Our speed is already monitored, we are already being watched. It's more a question of do we want that watching to be used to reduce crime.

        Sorry Screename, but if youve gotten in 14 accidents in 8 years you must be doing something wrong.
