Well one of the rams ate 7 of the shrimp in 2 days. So I got some emerald green corys to replace the shrimp.

That's definitely expected. :) But your corys should do fine.

Down to one ram also as the two I had were female and I wanted a female and male. Just waiting for Houston aquatics to get more in since all of their juveniles are female.

I believe your rams will be to aggressive for the other small fish you got there.

Especially if you want a breeding pair. Try 2 females? Or 1 male, or 1 female alone.

Rams are notorious shrimp devourers, I have a suspicion they feed on something similiarly sized in their native habitat. I have yet to see one not meticulously devour every single one in a tank. Sorry to hear about that, but on the positive side you now know what to feed for live food and possibly breeding!!!! Cories will do far better, how big a school did you get?

this would be a nice mix but i might go with 1 or 2 of the schooling fish choices and maybe stick to the dwarf corys since the regular size have a decent bioload once you consider that they do best in schools of at least 5. I have CPDs in my 75 right now and they do well with other fish. WC minnows and r.axelrodi are long time favorites too. you can house CPD with shrimp and i would guess with those others but I have never done so. make sure that you dont overstock!

ouch, i was just going to suggest against this. GBR do okay with my adult amano shrimp, but then the females are almost as big as the fish. even so the shrimp are very shy in the presence of the GPD and my lone congo tetra

GBR get a bad rap sometimes i think, mine are housed with CPD and have no interest in them although they probably could eat them and other individuals might do so. they are hard to sex as juvies sometimes so you never know. i bought three of what i was assured were going to be female and they all ended up male. and dead. they are hard on each other, three males seem to do okay in my 75 but they dont tolerate more than that.

They only had 2 corys and I am using a filter for a 30 gallon tank so that it can handle the all the fish so far I haven't had any issues with the ram attacking other fish but the two females would fight each other. The only thing I need for the tank now is some plants. After reading only I don't think the painted glass tetras will last too long and not too sure what to go with after that I'm thinking some glofish to school with zebras.
