here is my new 50g Hexagon Tank that i got from Fishlady and Cichlidfan, also thanx to Ghostgirl1 and Jstider for the Awesome Stand.

1x Hydor Sponge Filter powered by a Whisper 60 Air Pump

1x CoralLife 28 watt Compact Flourescent Light running a 28watt 10,000K CF Bulb

Substrate -

40lbs of Aquatic Plant Substrate From Home Depot (like Flourite but not quite as potent)

Heating -

1x 100watt Eheim Jagger Heater

4x Seiyru Seiki Stones
3x Pieces of Petrified Wood
1x Piece of Cypress Driftwood
1x Piece of Maylasian Driftwood

I have a question. Is that lihgt sufficent to sustain plant growth in a tank that is that tall? I want to get my hex planted as well ut I am unsure about what lighting would be enough to penetrate the entire thing (was thinking of using a flood light as they penetrate pretty good, just would have to watch the heat.)

I hope that wood is not pressed in the tank with alot of force....I am concerned about the integrity of the glass walls if it is....

But it looks great....can I see the stand too sometime?

well, i dont think its enough, i will be upgrading to either a single 150watt metal halide, or a corallife 24" 2x 65watt power compact as soon as i have the money.

where are you getting your sterbai cories from. I some of those as well. right now, I have a breeding set of bronze cories(6) that I really dont want.
