I need to post a pic tonight but my Turbo snails are tearing it up. I have not seen a snail that reacts so violently to light. They do not move when the main lights are on and if you get a flashlight and shine on them that quickly hide in their shell. I will check the params soon. I did a WC last night to get rid of the excess algae in the water column after scrubbing the glass.

Well found a problem with the ATO. Well at least with these giant turbo snails. I was surfing the web right now and realized that my ATO kept turning on and off. So once it did it again I went to go investigate and saw it fill up the chamber to the desired level then I watched it lower slowly back down and the ATO kicked back on. So I start looking around and noticed that my turbo snails where grazing on the overflow grill. They were restricting the flow back into the sump causing the pump back there to pump out more than what was coming in. So I knocked them off but now my water level in the sump is about 2" higher than the desired level. I dont know what that means in SG terms but I am sure thats not good if I had some real stuff in there. I will need to figure out a solution or maybe for this tank its the DIBS. How many snails did you get?

Their populations will be controlled by the amount of food they have.

I'm capped at 8-10 cause there is just no algae for anymore to eat.

I only got 2 turbos because of there size and since I was going to get those DIBS from you. Once I get those and the algae is more managable I will get ride of the large turbos

So I just did a test and was hoping for better but I guess I am only just over 2 weeks it seems like its been longer but here are the results

Alright. Man those turbo snails are efficient one can clean almost an entire rock by itself in one night.

For my 3000th post. Thanks MJ for the DIBS, macro, and corals. I dropped them in last night. I took some pics but I am having computer issues and it wont let me upload photos so I will try tonight. I saw the corals starting to open up this morning so we will see if they can make it threw since I am not exactly done with the cycle. The DIBS hauled butt and found some algae to munch on so they look good.
